It’s Tick season! We believe “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”
So here are some tips!
#1 Stay indoors. 100% fail safe. Seriously though…
#2 Wear light colored clothes to be able to easily spot ticks on your clothes.
#3 Shower within 2 hours of being outdoors. Like momma says “wash behind those ears”
#4 Make sure you check your arm pits, waist band, hairline, back of the ears and anyplace that a little tick might like to hide out.
#5 Ticks love humid, tall grass and wooded areas. If you are hiking, try to stay on a trail.
#6 Tuck your pants into your socks. It might look a little corny, but worth the embarrassment.
#7 Check your pets! Don’t let any ticks hitch a ride!
Now for tips to overcome this disease naturally, if you get bit.
According to David Stewart, PhD only 10% of Lyme disease sufferers have been accurately diagnosed. “The symptoms include fatigue, fever, chills, headache, muscle and joint pain, swelling of lymph nodes, nerve pain, skin rashes, back pain, mental confusion, and brain fog. If allowed to run its course, it can cause arthritis, cardiac dysrhythmias, nervous system abnormalities and other bodily or mental damages.” Wow!
When you find a tick bite, it might be too late. To rid yourself of the microbial organism, which is smaller than most bacteria but larger than a virus, visit your doctor, but also avail yourself to the Young Living Essential Oils solution.
Bergen Health Products carries Young Living Essential Oils. We recommend starting a healthy life style to share with your family by getting a Starter Kit (best value) and signing up for a member discount. If you have any condition that can be remedied naturally, that is usually the best way to go. If you hear the commercials about all the side effects of medications, it makes you wonder if the cure is worse than the condition. “This medicine might kill me!” that’s what I think…
Since many Young Living Essential Oils can be ingested, there are recipes for overcoming this pain and suffering. Pamela Carpenter has generously offered her experience on her website www.livingwithlymedisease.net She recommends making capsules of 2 drops of Frankincense, 6 drops of oregano and 12 drops of Theives. She calls these “Lyme Bullets”
I’m not an outdoorsy type of a person, so I’m sticking with tip #1
